Data Identification & Preservation |
Reducing Data Identification, Preservation, and Collection Costs.
Identification – eDI creates an auditable “data topology map” of active ESI, files, and email that is located on the network servers, email servers, content management systems, storage systems and PC’s.
Preservation – Documents that meet the preservation criteria are searched in place and then moved without the need of specialized collection tools. Access Control Lists (ACL’s) and Security Identifiers (SID’s) are preserved, thus proving file ownership as tracked by the file system.
Collections - Documents that meet the preservation criteria are searched in place and then the active data is collected on the network servers, storage systems and personal computers without disrupting end users.
Legal Hold - Proactive identification and protection of documents that must be preserved for legal holds .
Cost
Once the eDI solution is in place, there are no additional costs to:
- Collect the data
- Adjust the collection criteria
- Re-collect data
Technology
eDI employs technology to better understand the unique data collection needs of each client. eDI provides:
- Data Map - Gain visibility and control of enterprise information
- Analysis – Corporations can better prepare for FRCP Rule 26(f) conferences. In addition, accurate real-time knowledge of the data can help corporations improve planning and better control litigation costs.
